If a submitted receipt is flagged as an invalid receipt by our system, a red X will appear next to the receipt symbol and it will be labelled with the reason the receipt is invalid.
See descriptions of the invalid receipt types below:
Unreadable
- The receipt image is blurry, the ink printing on the receipt is not clear, or the paper is too wrinkled
Missing Info
- Required receipt information such as the store name, date and time of purchase, total price, and/or line items with pricing is missing
Expired
- Receipts was not submitted within 14 calendar days from the purchase date.
Duplicate
- The same receipt has been previously submitted to your CoinOut account
Shared Duplicate
- The same receipt has been previously submitted to another user’s CoinOut account
$0 or Negative Price
- The total price detected $0 or a negative amount (common for store returns)
Merchant Limit
- More than 5 receipts have already been submitted from the same retailer within a 24 hour period
